The Public Affairs Committee (PAC) of the Australian Beverages Council:
- Provides strong, effective representation on public affairs and government relations issues to members of the Council including its divisions – Juice Australia (JA) and the Australasian Bottled Water Institute (ABWI).
- Acts as a liaison between industry, government and the public, providing consumer-friendly messaging and education.

The Technical, Scientific & Regulatory Affairs Committee (TSRAC) of the Australian Beverages Council:
- Provides strong, effective representation on technical, regulatory and scientific issues to members of the Council including its divisions – JA and ABWI.
- Is recognised by FSANZ, regulators and the scientific community as the leaders in technical, regulatory and scientific issues for the non-alcoholic beverage industry.

Beverage Industry Environmental Committee
In response to a strong desire for action on environmental matters, the ABCL formed the Beverages Industry Environmental Committee (BIEC) in 2019. This committee has two working groups focused on areas of particular importance – water source sustainability and packaging.
The two formal working groups drive activity under the Water and Packaging pillars of the BIEC’s Environmental Priorities Plan. The BIEC has already achieved some major progress with changes to improve oversight of water source sustainability and the development of a dedicated BIEC microsite for consumer and other stakeholders.
Over the coming months, the BIEC will focus on further strengthening its position as a leader in environmental responsibility and action.

Australasian Bottled Water Institute Committee
The Australasian Bottled Water Institute Committee (ABWIC) is comprised of members of the Australian Beverages Council who extract and bottle water.
The ABWIC reinforces ABWI’s primary objectives in its activities, particularly to:
- Ensure the standards of water products, bottled by members, exceed current regulations.
- Promote the benefits of bottled water to consumers that include safety, consistency and convenience.
- Expand the awareness and the use of bottled water while ensuring consumers enjoy safe, sustainably sourced, high quality, and great tasting products.
- Represents members’ interests to government, regulators and the media.
- Communicate with other international bottled water industry groups and monitor trends and developments in overseas markets.
